Decaf Oolong Tea | 脫咖烏龍茶 - DecafOolong

Decaf Oolong, a Mi Lan Xiang Dan Cong from the Phoenix Mountains of Chaozhou, carries honey, orchid, and ripe fruit that come entirely from the leaf. Decaffeinated with pure CO2, it keeps the fragrance and full body that ordinary decaf oolongs lose.

Our Decaf Oolong is Mi Lan Xiang Dan Cong, a Phoenix Mountain oolong from Chaozhou so naturally fragrant it's called the perfume tea. Its honey-and-orchid aroma comes from the cultivar itself. Dan Cong leaves are famous for carrying flower and fruit notes with nothing added, a character built from old tea trees and careful processing rather than any flavoring.  The cup opens with honey and orchid, moves through a whisper of ripe fruit, and finishes smooth with the mineral depth Phoenix Mountain oolongs are known for.

Our Mi Lan Xiang comes from the Phoenix Mountains (鳳凰山) near Chaozhou in Guangdong, the only region where authentic Dan Cong oolong is grown. The heart of production sits around Wudong Mountain, where old semi-wild tea trees root into weathered granite and mineral-rich soil, high on misty slopes.

Unlike lowland teas grown for volume, these Phoenix gardens sit at elevation in cool, fog-wrapped air that slows the leaves' growth and concentrates their aromatics. The result is what Chaozhou tea makers call Shan Yun (山韻), or mountain rhyme, the layered harmony of floral, fruity, and mineral notes that defines a true Phoenix oolong and can't be reproduced anywhere else.

To preserve its delicate profile while making it more versatile for everyday wellness, we apply a clean, chemical-free CO₂ decaffeination process. This method reduces caffeine down to 3-5mg per cup without using any harsh solvents. Our careful process is designed to balance caffeine removal with flavor preservation, ensuring the tea retains its depth, aroma, and naturally smooth finish.
